Top 10 Brunch in Manhattan We Like Most Thus Far

It was suddenly getting warmer yesterday, and we felt like spring wake up the whole NYC with hope and joy. Of course, it is time for brunch in the sunshine spring.

Below is the list of top 10 branches in Manhattan we like most so far. Add it to your schedule if you'd like to try!

1. EGG SHOP

Egg Shop, what a funny boutique restaurant. It was simply decorated in black and white, which triggered you to press the button for a shot. Though pretty small, it refreshed the way you enjoyed brunch, with a hand-written menu board and a mini bar.

The EGG Benedict was totally new to us because it was not only served in a bowl that differed from what we saw before but also tasted sweet and sour with lemon sauce. Egg and bacon would be a plus to it.

We also recommended B.E.C. You can customize your burger with anything you prefer, such as bacon, beef, egg, etc.

Pro: Tiny environment, good for bestie meetup, good value for the price

Con: Waiting line would form at weekend, so weekdays would be good to go
Add: 151 Elizabeth St, New York, NY 10012
Phone: 646-666-0810
Average: $20-$35

2. JANE

(Photo: janerestaurant.com, Pinterest)
It's been the hottest brunch in NYC. You may need to line up for 2 hours without a reservation. It was a traditional American restaurant that could cater large groups.

Jane was famous for all sorts of Egg Benedict. If you're a big egg benedict fan, Jane would absolutely be your first choice. Our personal recommendation would definitely be Lobster Benedict.

Besides, Jane's Fresh Toast was also worth a bite thanks to its decent sweetness.

Pro: Large portion to cover one-day needs, perfect for a group party

Con: Must be reserved

Average: $25-$30

3. JACK'S WIFE FERDA

We went here a lot since it was delicious as well as romantic as indicated by the love story behind its honey name. It was incredibly popular on Instagram among influencers, top models, and Asian celebrities such as Gem Deng and Yuyan Peng. It was super small and crowded, but still drove a lot of love traffic.

Green Shakshuka was a signature dish that you could not miss, and particularly, it was only available at breakfast time.

(TripAdvisor)
Our favorite was Madame Freda. The duck meat was paired with two pieces of crispy bread and medium-rare egg on the top. So stunning, right?

4. TWO HANDS

It was such a fresh vibe from the inside out that would recall most girls' vivid dreams with a cloud ceiling. The glamorous bulbs threw us back to a night with stars overhead. The happier we were, the more dishes we wanted to enjoy.

The chef special - Acal Bowl was marked as the best in town. Originated in Hawaii, it was a healthy dish made of acal, beneficial for diet, digestion, and sleep.

We thought the rest dishes were fairly good~

Pro: Comfy environment, Instagram-friendly, acal bowl was the top pick

Con: Average taste was just so so
Add: 164 Mott St, New York, NY, 10013
Phone: No
Average: $25-$30

5. Sarabeth's

Yes! It was just the restaurant favored by ladies of Upper East at the Gossip Girl. Named as Breakfast Queen of New York, it targeted upscale ladies from the environment to food. Best for gossip sweeties brunching together~

Eggs Benedict purely spoke for Sarabeth's, definitely won over Jane's. Different flavors were available, for recommendation: Classic and Salmon.

Lemon and Ricotta Pancakes made gossip a little bit sweeter~

Farmer's Omelette, a thick fried egg stuffed with Chinese chives, ham, potato, and cheese, enough for a refill.

Hate coffee? Four Flowers will surprise you with a blend of banana, orange, grenadine syrup, pineapple.

Pro: Luxury environment
Con: Expensive

Phone: (212) 410-7335
Average: $30-$45

6. BLUESTONE LANE

This was an Australian brunch. Designed in white and blue, it gave us a sea smell once we got a foot in the door. It was another romantic spot for Instagrammer.

Australian-style avocado toast

Granola and Yoghurt, mixed fruit with greek yogurt

Highlight of the BLUESTONE: Australian brewed coffee that you cannot try anywhere else

Pro: Comfort, gorgeous servers, special cuisine

7. Clinton Street Baking Company

Thinking of the name, it was weird to call it a brunch. But it was so popular that we had to wait for over 1 hour. In spite of the common American layout, its flavor stood it out.

Pancake was the Chef Special, ranking as the NO.1 pancake of NYC in our hearts. What's best about the pancake was its sweet-but-not-cloying and fresh tender. Special pancake also changed week by week.

Fried chicken and Belgian vanilla buttermilk waffle is going hot and peaking your appetite.

Pro: Large portion, good for party
Con: Reservation needed
Add: 4 Clinton St, New York, NY 10002
Phone: 646-602-6263
Average: $25-$30

8. FREEMANS

The love wall was too fantastic to pass. Take a picture, and take more in this bold and vigorous restaurant. It went in the classic genre with the animal specimen on the wall.

Signature brunch: Baked Skillet Eggs Shakshuka, contained spinach, goat cheese, egg, and bacon, served with toast, but only available on weekends.

Buttermilk Pancakes was also wonderful.

Pro: Comfortable, freestyle
Con: Location is not great
Add: 191 Chrystie St, New York, NY 10002
Phone: 212-420-0012
Average: $25-$30

9. The Butcher's Daughter

Its photos took over Instagram that pulled in bunch of influencers. It would be not itself without the iconic yellow chairs, but few guys sat and preferred to eat outside instead, making it a distinctive view.

Tell you what? Juice was the only yum there!!

Pro: Comfy outdoor (☀️☀️)

Con: Food
Add: 19 Kenmare St, New York, NY 10012
Phone: 212-219-3434
Average: $25-$30

10. Russ and Daughter Cafe

Founded by a Jewish immigrant, it'd been a family restaurant for hundreds of years. Russ and Daughter was named after the founder's three daughters and now passed to the fouth generation. You could learn its history through the family photos on the wall.

Signature dish: Lower sunny side. Salmon, two fried eggs, and two hash browns. It was interesting to see the raw salmon got itself cooked under hot eggs.

If you want to try all specials together, just order an all-star platter, including smoked whitefish, kippered salmon, Gaspe Nova, and sable.

Classic, another chef pick. Bagel with salmon was the new magic!

Pro: Fresh, delicious, comfortable

Con: No Latte
Add: 127 Orchard St, New York, NY 10002
Phone: 212-475-4881
