Weekend Brunch Near Bryant Park

If you are looking for innovative brunch in the heart of New York City’s Bryant Park, L'ADRESSE (formerly named as Coffeemania) will be a pleasant leisure for you and your companion. Here is our experience at L'ADRESSE last weekend.

L’ADRESSE is on 6th Ave/40th St, just next to the 42nd St Bryant Park station. We walked there in two minutes after getting off the subway.

Here we are! You may pass this buzziest restaurant many times. Its logo is a coffee, but there is so much more than coffee.

Such a warm, spacious atmosphere for a quality brunch time. The welcoming staff led us to the table we reserved, and so considerately, had warm water for Asian customers like us. It was nearly full seated when we came in around 11:15 AM, so a reservation may help secure your brunch at brunch.

We definitely had no idea given abundant choices we have never tried. It’s also remarkable that L’ADRRESSE is one of a handful of restaurants in the U.S. to use the Josper grill, popular through Europe, to highlight the flavor of their meats, fish, and vegetables.

Finally, we ordered the dishes above. They came together very quickly with a freaking smell that incredibly hit our noses. Guess what was that? We were all amazed by the very aesthetics hidden in these dishes. They looked more like a piece of art that put everything together. In the eyes of an expat, we called it a time when west met east considering the fusion taste.

Baijun ordered the Draniki Potato Pancake, served with smoked salmon, and soft poached egg. We knew it was freshly fried from the golden layer. Baijun used to poke through the soft poached egg, and let the yolk spread on the pancake, sounds interesting? The outside of the pancake was super crispy for fried food junkie, then the inside kept up the origina taste of potato. We would recommend putting pancake, salmon, and egg together in the mouth to have a richer taste. However, the pancake and salmon might be too salty for Asians. And it was also pricey for a pretty small portion. By the way, grassy vegetable at the side helped lessen a little bit salty taste.

Jiaqi ordered Mushroom Eggs Benedict, served with lettuce. This dish was warm and healthy for a spring welcoming. The egg roll was fresh and meanwhile include tomato mushroom inside. When you take a bite, the flavor suddenly comes out and gives you an extreme satisfaction of enjoying brunch in NYC.

Fei ordered Crispy Calamari served with celeriac puree, Thai basil as an embellishment on the top, at the bottom of the bowl serving with chili lime vinaigrette as dressing sauce. It was delicate and complimentary not overpowering and tastes like Southeast Asia flavor. The calamari itself was lightly breaded, crispy with a large portion.

So for summary L’ADRESSE is an excellent place featured with refreshing dishes made from high-quality food and welcoming staff. It is a bit expensive but you are in NYC. We want to visit again for more choices.
